not sure why the opening was placed in the middle of the kitchen floor. seems dangerous and not logistically necessary.
it's a cool idea though and it looks like fun for kitty cats :)

    I agree, it definitely seems a bit dangerous--particularly if you have kids! But it might've been necessary for the way the wine cellar was placed under the home.

    well it does have a door on it. if you dont like the whole see through thing then frost the glass or do a wood door. also you could put a lock on it do no kids could get into it!

    Well I'm sure anyone with a wine cellar that has children will have enough sense to lock the wine cellar door, and I'm sure necessary safety precautions have been taken to ensure that there isn't an accident slip through the glass frame. But I agree with the poster above, I would place a sturdy wooden door over the glass because the glass part does seem questionable, but the location is perfect, especially for those who love to cook with wine.
