If the island is only 7 ft long, the pendants could be 7" diameter or less. !2" is just too large.

Here is a quick diagram with 6" pendants on the left and 12" pendants on the right. 1 square equals 1 foot. Seems you can do two 12" pendants or three 7" pendants. Will you have three or two counter stools in front of the island?
