Another white paint post!

So, I am WAY to indecisive to be able to select a white paint properly. My husband and I are moving into a 1000 sq ft junior 4 apartment. There is a nice flow among the rooms so we want to make sure we pick colors that coordinate well. We are thinking of doing a navy accent wall in the kitchen, a darker grey in the dining room, and white in the living room/foyer/hallways. Not yet sure about the bathroom and bedroom but they are more separate anyway.

I had been agonizing over selecting Behr paint colors, but I think we may end up going with Sherwin Williams since my husband gets a discount there (he's an architect). Does anyone have any recommended Sherwin Williams whites? Here are some pictures. Some are from before the renovation began (living room mirrors are gone, foyer mirrors will be gone soon, chandeliers will be gone. Floors will be refinished and polyurethane shade is Minwax's Fruitwood).

Those living room windows are South-facing. Our couch is dark brown, and we have a lot of walnut wood furniture. I think we are leaning towards a cooler white, because we don't want it to feel dingy or beige-y, but my only fear with cool whites is that I don't want the place looking too sterile.

Also, and this may be a dumb question, but when you select a shade of white on walls, is it best to use the same shade on the trims? Or would you recommend keeping the trims ultra pure white? In past apartments we've only ever painted select walls in bolder colors (we were renters, so we didn't bother picking specific white shades for the walls that were already white), so this is all new to me. Any favorite colors or advice would be greatly appreciated!
