I love this little home...watching thread to see what ideas flow on this one

I would go bold- blueberry or cranberry with black windows. Unique place!

I think this little house could pull off bold beautiful colors! With the upper half of all the walls taken up with windows, nothing would be too overwhelming. Gray and orange wold be fine, but you should look thru some pictures here to see if any other colors call to you. A little photoshop (or the programs most major paint companies have on their site that key you upload your own photo and play with colors) to see what works best, and away you go!

NO paint it peels and is a maintenance nightmare. Only consider stain. You can get it in any color you want, even white.

You know the idea of a Prairie style home is to blend in with the prairies..................so keep that in mind as you select the colors. I would select an exterior color that is close to the color of the tree trunks surrounding the home. I would select colorful landscaping to accent the home.

paint body ben moore copley grey with coastal fog for the trim and a dark gray for any shutters or door. I like porpoise by sherwin williams.

I agree with Beverly, no paint. Dark Gray stain and try to incorporate a rustic feel with wood stained in a golden orange color. See images. Very cute home

Say, stain is nice , too, but there's no reason I can think of to say that paint is inferior to stain. Don't both need good prep?

Beverly - I'm working with a fully treed lot, and as much as I love colorful perennials in landscaping, I'm likely going to have several shades of green as my palette. The leaves are about to change for fall so maybe that will provide some inspiration :)
