What is your style? Glam? Traditional? Early professional? Cottage? Urban?

What else is in the room? How big is the room? Do you have high ceilings?

What do you want the room to say? Comfortable? Glam? Sports enthusiast? Artsy? Curl up and read a book?

All these "flavors" have different results. You can paint the walls something that goes with the sofa, but still feel like something is missing, not quite "pulled together." Search houzz photos for rooms with a sofa like yours, create an ideabook with the ones you love. From that you'll figure out what color to paint the walls. Seems complicated? The difference between a process and just picking a color to slap in the walls is how happy you are with the results.
