Nope, doesn't sew, and it is MUCH smaller than Jen's. He is in whatever they call home ec these days. They are sewing this quarter, so he made me a machine. They wanted a "sewing kit" for class, so we made one. Yesterday they sent home the seam ripper and thread snips because they are weapons. Makes me wonder how they are cutting fabric and sewing at all.

Glad to hear schools still teach home ec. So if he has to pull something apart does the teacher stand over him while he uses scissors? What about sewing needles aren"t they weapons as well? Scary.

She told them they would sew slow enough that it wouldn't be necessary to rip seams. She has scissors and cuts fabric that needs cutting. So far they have made a pillow and pillow case and had to bring pieces cut and ready to sew. Sad how some things have changed. I wonder what will happen when they start cooking.

At least they have those classes. I just heard from my sil and her school district doesn't offer those type of classes any longer, so sad.
