Kitchen remodel

Here is my kitchen done mainly in neutral colors so that I could change up season decorating.....but I am baffled as to what to paint the walls as the cabinets are painted Bedford Grey from Martha Stewart collection. The walls are currently white, but it lacks something, it faces North so its alittle dark, I feel it needs something to brighten it up, perhaps a soft color? Or should I just paint the mouldings the Bedford grey to give the room some definition.
My goal was to keep it neutral but I love color and feel it needs something. I would appreciate some input, thanks.

Don't be scared. The worst thing that can happen is that you have to repaint. The best is that you love it!

The kitchen looks very nice! Have you considered continuing the same color (blue? gray? - can't tell from the pictures) that you have on one wall already? I think it would look great in the rest of the kitchen.

Thanks Izeve, but that color blue is another room altogether. Its our sunroom. I love that color also but it has been on for close to 20 yrs now, and next year I'll be tackling that room.
I think the blue would be too dark in there as I am trying to lighten it up due to it facing north and not much light during the day.

Whoope Izeve, I see what you are talking about...yes, that one wall is painted Kendall Charcoal by BenjaminMoore.. It is a very dark charcoal color. I was afraid if I continued that color on the remaining walls that it would make the room appear smaller.

Yup, that's the one. Not the one in the sunroom. You have so little wall space in the remainder of the kitchen that it would not darken it too much or make it look smaller, I don't think. And it would provide a nice contrast to the cabinets.

Another option would be a medium warm beige/gray like Benjamin Moore Gotham. Why don't you play with Benjamim Moore color viewer?

I have considered Kendall Charcoal on all the walls, just scared to do it...

Love the beadboard on the walls and cabinet faces but the two-tone on top cabs is a distracting look. It doesn't pull the kitchen together. Looks unfinished.

Paint the top doors same as the other cabinets and leave the walls the crisp white.

@leelee...actually we did paint the upper cabinets that same gray and it looked bland, so we repainted the inserts to match the other side of the kitchen...then it appeared more open and lighter.
Appreciate your feedback though...maybe once the backsplash is done overall it Might look different.
