First seed pod ever!

Hi! I'm new to plumerias...started with 5 plants in 2013 and kind of went crazy by acquiring 40 more in the last 2yrs. I know its late in the season for plumerias and I'm already thinking about all i need to do to prepare my plants for dormancy but this morning i discovered what i think is a seed pod. I planted this cutting March of this year and it bloomed. I've never had seed pods so i don't know what to do...will the inflo its on dry up since it's so late in the season? Is there something i can do to keep it thriving through the winter? Any and all advice will be greatly appreciated! I live in San Diego, about 5miles from the border to Mexico.

Thank you.
