I would like to hear some tips on how to germinate the seeds, a also have a big bag of both pinus edulis and pinus cembroides, and i wold like to know if there is any special considerations when trying to germinate them, thanks

bigger cones may be pinus pseudostrobus. pinus estevezii or pinus engelmammii...pinus engelmannii is very local around Los lirious

Is the smaller one from a fir?

First two pics are of a squirrel-stripped cone core of a Pinus species.

The others all look to be in the Pinus montezumae - P. hartwegii grouping; which of the two will depend on the altitude of collection (P. hartwegii above roughly 2700 m).

Thanks for the id
