Exterior color choices for new construction home?!?

Below is a picture of our house plans. We are having a hard time deciding between 2 options of paint choices. I know I want an "almost white" on the hardy plank siding front porch. we have picked SW "pearly white". delimma is: paint the trim, columns, and woodwork around the door (sidelights and transom) all that 1 color and have 1 other accent color for the door and shutters (SW backdrop)? or go for a 3 color palette as seen below, front door and shutters almkst black and the trim a taupy color.

Just worried my front door will be lost if the trim around is all the same color as house.

what color option do YOU think would look good on MY home? and by the way, we are not close too the road. not in a subdivision so details are not easily seen from driving distance.

Your first option is way more appealing to me. Very soft and inviting. The second choice looks a little "munsterish"!

I definitely like the first picture better. The second picture feels cold and uninviting. The last 20 homes I've designed for clients have, they seem to be leaning towards grays and blues for exterior colors. Here's a pic.

thanks yal. I'm in south Louisiana and most homes are neutral color palettes. think Acadian. all of our neighbors r going with tan/brown fronts.

I think I might want to paint the body white and the trim in High Reflective White then choose a third color for door and shutters. The color on the end is Canvas Tan. All SW colors. I like the white choices better at BM paint. I think the concept in the second picture could work, but not with those colors. Looking at the first picture made me think you might want the HR White on the door and only use a third color for the shutters. I think a white house is an excellent idea. Do you have a choice in brick color?

Image 1 looks more bright coz of the lighting outdoors and indoors, hence it looks much more brighter.

Image 2 looks dull, coz it looks like its raining.

However, i would say go with your gut feeling, specially considering the stones u selected for exteriors.

Taupe and grey are my personal choices, because both doesn't look neither extreme traditional and neither extreme modern.

We have picked brick. old bayou by acme and doing a light "sack treatment".

It's a nice house. I like the first photo, but can you wait until after the brick installation to make the final choose on paint colors? I must have tried 20 different shades of white and gray/green/taupe on my house before I made a final choice. The paint looks different at different times of day.
