Hello! We are remodeling this 60 year old home. Siding, windows were just installed. Mahogany farmhouse door being installed next week.

We are needing to replace the 4 load-bearing beams with a cedar or maybe another type of wood with dark knots to tie into dark door.

Our issue is the far left pole. Previous owners balanced on a blob of concrete. We don't know how to replace to be both structurally sound and aesthetically pleasing

Any ideas?
