I've seen large bowl displayed with decorative accents inside, such as colored ornaments, etc.

Lemons and limes, apples and pears, floating flowers and candles...or if it's my house, the cat will push everything out and sleep in it. Seriously, you can put anything in it. It's a nice way to decorate by the season, with natural items to reflect spring, summer, fall and winter.

I agree with MT bowl syndrome so I used an open side table to display it - if miss kitty was still with us, she might sleep in it to, but at least it's close to the floor,not up too high.

Kosta Boda bowls are meant to be decor by themselves often but maybe just fill with clear glass balls without seeing the bowl really hard to know.
