@zzmom40 but which counter top do you think would match this backsplash though?

Can you do the zebrano on counters as well? I think this would be absolutely spectacular with white cabs and your darker floor. If not, I'd lean towards a white Quartz counter - plain. I would worry that the black would be too checker-boardy with dark floors.

I would recommend going with a solid grey quartz. There's a lot of movement in your floors and your backsplash and movement on movement can be overwhelming to the eye. With a solid white quartz, I'd be concerned that your cabinets OR the quartz would yellow out once they're put right next to each other. White is the hardest color to match.

I agree with @Tems - Go pattern-free. Nice and clean!

Another vote for a zero-movement counter. I think that the dark would help bridge your other finishes, but all white could work if you prefer it.

I would pick the bright white quartz- no pattern. Your back splash is the statement piece and you don't want to detract from it, or make it too busy.

Thanks everyone for your feedback! I think we are going to go with the no-movement quartz, but it's a matter of which color. I agree with Presidio Tile & Stone though because white is the hardest color to match, but I'm not sure if the dark grey will "darken" the kitchen because it is a small kitchen and we would like to have it appear as bright as possible.

I think the dark grey you have there is too dark and I don't like the veining in it. Try looking at Caesarstone Pebble or Silestone Kensho. Silestone Unsui might go really nice with the floor but could have too much taupe for the splash. Hope that helps.

Dark gray Quartz...sorry looked just like soap stone. With the high gloss cabinets it will be to die for..please make sure to post pictures.

now that i see the pics on my computer (i was looking on my tiny phone) - i like the dark grey quartz as well. esp when i see your floors up close, and also esp when compared to your last houzz photo. i think your kitchen will pop a lot more with dark counters. what colour will your walls be? be warned however - i had cambria fieldstone (dark grey) quartz in our last house, and sadly it showed EVERY watermark/fingerprint. i'm ocd so it bugged me. just a note. whatever you choose, i'm sure it will be divine and i'd love to see the "after" photo.

@Alana Chernecki I'm still torn between the dark grey and the white. My wall color is going to be crisp white as well because we are trying to go for that modern chic look. But hearing from what you said about fingerprint and watermark showing, I'm hesitant again, I wonder if the white Quartz would do the same. I also tried to recreate the dark Quartz look using Paint, what do you guys think?

Yes dark gray Quartz!!!! It will be stunning..

No - white Quartz will not show. (We had "torquay" and it hid a lot.) But seeing your photo-I think you wouldn't hit your mark with white. I much prefer the grey in your case. Esp with crisp white (I'm a modern girl as well). Love your taste ;)

Love the backsplash!! When I google "zebrino bianco" I am not getting anything with the dark color running through? Can you share who manufactures this tile?

@mskdj The backsplash is by Olympia Tiles and it's called zebrino bianco. You can also google it on google.ca (I'm from Canada) and see some images of this marble.
