Would like to see the rest of the room so we can make correct suggestions about furniture placement, lamps, art, window treatments etc. Please.

Wow, that sure takes up a lot of room! I would slide it over closer to the windows, leaving just enough room for draperies to hang behind it. Then I would rotate the whole sectional a little more. You shouldn't be encroaching into the hall, as that could be a fire safety issue. Rotating it a little will give you more access space.

It looks to me that this sectional is made up of several disparate pieces. Have you ever thought about using just the two end pieces and adding some chairs? The present configuration is just too large for the room.

Oh, I almost forgot--if you get some drapes for the windows it will help keep glare off the television.

IMO, I would want to get the sectional out of the walkway, so I would swing it around and move it closer to the wall like I illustrate in the drawing below. I would slide the median cabinet and TV further down on the wall for a better viewing angle and then use the remaining wall space to mount a series of wall ledges to display photos and artwork which can be changed out as needed. I would add a couple of interesting floor lamps for reading and a round cocktail ottoman or coffee table and drapery on the windows to add some additional color and texture.

If there is a possibility to put the TV on the wall or use a shelf to lift the TV from the table, I would probably do that, because then it would be easier to watch from the kitchen window too. I would hang it so that the top of the decoration and picture frames would be in the same high.

Does the loudspeakers have enough wire to put them on the table or on a shelf?

If you get the table free from the electronics, you could swing it around and bring it nearer for the sofa. Then it could act as a sofa table and the doors would open towards TV (this works only if the backside of the table looks groomed and you are not afraid that liquids get inside of the table).

Ceiling light does no one any favors! Please switch it out for a table lamp or wall sconce in each corner. That's much more flattering to most people.
