Recessed lighting, ceiling fan in small bedrooms

We are renovating a new-to-us house, adding ceiling fans and recessed lighting throughout.

The bedrooms are 10' x 10' square, plus the closet. I will send her a ceiling fan in each room, but wanted to put recessed lighting in each room, too. I'm using Feit 5/6" LED trims from Costco. I have not decided on the ceiling fan yet, but am not opposed to a light kit.

Here's the question--Will it look dumb to put in two recessed lights in each room (marked in black rings on ceiling), as you're walking in the door one would be straight to your left, the other would be straight ahead of you, so that you don't get the strobing effect from the ceiling fan.

what are the cans lights centered to on the walls? it will look odd if they don't have a job... like over a desk or over a bed.

fiet is the absolute worst light bulb manufacture, so hold on to that receipt

maybe add a third right by the door way to make a triangle. make sure u put in dimmers....its a ten by ten room. one center light would have worked.

Thank you. One in front of the door is a good idea, and they'll be on dimmers for sure. We are guessing this is going to be overkill after looking at it, but with 4 kids 4 and under, the thought of removing cords for extra lamps is wonderful.

I understand why you want to do away with cords with little kids, but there is another issue with the small rooms, fans and recessed lights. The movement of the fan can cause a strobing effect which can be very disturbing visually. I wholeheartedly encourage you to reconsider.

Beseaside, strobing is a big concern for us. What is another idea for getting more light in these rooms? Our current kids' bedroom frequently has the fan light on, a corner torchiere light (I was single a LONG time), and a pendant industrial looking 60watt fixture on at the same time. We need more light than the fan light gives us.

We really do need a fan in every room--We are in AZ and run out fans all year long to move air. They make a huge difference in being able to fall asleep without having to run the AC at 72, which is super expensive.
