I have a four-plex rental unit, that is set up in a way that the bathroom is above the kitchen. It is a nightmare having to cut into the drywall ceiling in the kitchen each time there is a plumbing issue in the bathroom. I would like to put a suspended or dropped ceiling in the kitchen, but would like suggestions for possible alternatives to the typical panels that go in them. Something attractive, but not pricey. Alternatively, ideas for making access to the plumbing possible other than a drop ceiling!
