I need help choosing a backsplash tile. Though the cabinets look somewhat country, that isn't the style I'm going for. I am thinking of possibly hanging the tiles vertically and clear up the ceiling around the sink. I am also considering putting a 'column of tiles' on the opposite wall. I was hoping to tie in the lamp, (above the kitchen table), to the rest of the kitchen. The counter is gray quartz and the floor is dark wood grain tile. I'm thinking about using flatstick roman shades for window covers. The rest of my house might be considered 'Northern California Style' - lots of windows, some kilim rugs, some organic pieces, as well as some modern. I like glass tile, but I'm afraid it might be too shiny with the already shiny quartz. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
