I think I've taken a different turn with my fireplace idea; putting in a direct vent gas fireplace in our small (1400 sq. ft.) home is just not cost efficient. I've seen some really pretty images of electric fireplaces; but I have no idea if the flames are realistic and that the fireplace overall makes a nice statement. I am looking at the 50in. Onxy Touchstone; but will consider others. Would love any thoughts anyone might have on electric fireplaces.
