Can metal window trim be painted?

I'm trying to avoid the cost of replacing very large windows. These windows are trimmed with the typical metal found in spec homes. Can a professional paint or coat the trim without replacing the entire window?

Hi Linda Stacey,

if the windows are metal and not vinyl, they can be re-painted. I would recommend speaking with a professional in the area. We have re-painted windows using oil primer and then oil paint. The windows should be cleaned and have a smooth finish and prepared. I hope this helps answer your question and good luck.
