Another thought on "cutter" quilts

I am one of those people who just can't usually cut up a quilt. I've run across quilts in thrift stores that can't be repaired and I just fold that part inside and put them on my quilt rack anyway. Then I saw potholders and ornaments in an antique store that had been made from old blocks.

Well, several years ago I ran across 7 blocks someone had cut from a very old quilt. The album blocks were all pieced and quilted by hand. I almost cried that someone would cut it up. None of the blocks were the same size and I had no idea how I could use them but I bought them anyway just to give them a good home. After years in a drawer, I dragged them out and did this to them. I'm saving the scraps to make ornaments. I love having them out and seen.
