THANK YOU for your interest in 2e Architects. The wall is a fully custom built-in designed in collaboration with my client, Andrea, and her father is the craftsman that built this piece. The goal was a simple (without ever getting to simplistic) design with a hint of the exuberance that is Andrea. There were a lot of design constraints including; distance of wood to the fireplace, working the flue around the recess of the TV niche, hiding all of the tv equipment, integrating all of the materials and to top it all off the front door is just to the right of the unit so it HAD to look great from the side view as well. The proportions are VERY carefully designed to achieve the final look. Hope that helped!
