I have a very dark taupe living room with lots of brass accents and silver ones. then the walls are covered in black and white art. So we know black and whte or off white goes well with. gold is a natural so it pretty much goes with every thing if it is the metal gold.

If you want to go gray pick one with a lavender undertones. Or paint a light lavender on your walls. Gold color is yellow and purple and yellow are a wonderful combination. Or if you want to go bold a dark purple with some red in it would look very elegant. Do you like dark warm colors that will look cosy or light colors that look airy and light? How do you want your room to feel? How is the light in your room? These are questions that are important before you pick room colors. Sorry to confuse you.

Choose gray if you like it. Having the gold pieces does not limit you to only having beige, taupe or gray walls. I like purple with gold. That is just an example, I know few would want purple walls. More importantly, what color is your bedding?
