What's your overall look? I always think of true white as best suited to modern/contemporary styles while creamier whites are better in more traditional homes. JMHO.

You can achieve this look by painting the cabinets and your trim in your house "Benjamin Moore's cloud white, CC967" Hughly popular among the designer sect. It is a warm white. I love the colour use it in all my houses. Creates that warm and cozy feel.

You could go with either, there will only be a slight difference. I personally would prefer a white white cabinet with white trim at the bottom that way they would match. Either way it will look beautiful!

Love the inspiration photo. Do you know what door style that is from StarMark? Would love to see photos of your finished kitchen!

If that's the look you're going for (the one in the inspiration photo attached here), then I would definitely do "marshmellow" or a softer, cream color rather than a stark white. And no, that won't look bad with a white type trim color.

I have Schrock pearl cabinets and against most paint colors they look super dingy and dirty. Make sure that you get a white that works with a wide range of paint colors including bluish gray, bright colors, and warm colors.

You will have your cabinets probably for a long time so you want them to be as versatile as possible so that you can easily change paint color as trends change

This post is old, but I wonder what you decided on? I’m trying to decide between marshmallow cream and simply white. I was 95% committed To the marshmallow cream, but borrowed the door sample and it looks dingy? I plan to have hickory floors, granite , subway tile, and have a north facing kitchen with a lot of light. Thoughts? Thank you!

I’m in the same boat. I ordered marshmallow white because I like the softer tones and I’m praying I won’t regret it. Still trying to determine what color I should paint the trim. Definitely trying to avoid them looking dingy. With the right color contrasts anything can look beautiful.

Same except I'm between white, dove white and marshmallow cream. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! I'm afraid white will be too stark, marshmallow too creamy and dove white too yellow

We are renovating our kitchen (actually the entire house). I had the same question. The designer I am working with said since our house is more on the contemporary style we should use stark white. We are using Chantilly Lace for both walls and cabinets. She said the creamier whites are more for traditional homes

My cabinets are being installed next week. I’ll post a picture when it all comes together. I went with marshmallow cream. I’m not doing a contemporary design. I’m doing more of modern farmhouse look, so stark white just seemed a bit too white. I’m hoping it all comes together.

Can’t wait to see it Coley331! I’m leaning toward just white now. I’m going for a coastal theme and will bring in lots of blues and greens. Hoping that will take away some of the starkness. I put a deposit down but I’m not actually placing the order for a few weeks. So I have lots of time to change my mind back and forth for a while lol 🤪

Also I don’t think marshmallow cream will look dingy at all, I’m more worries about dove white for that. Marshmallow is a beautiful light creamy color, I just think I want more white less cream. It will be beautiful I’m absolutely sure. There is a full kitchen in marshmallow at the showroom and it definitely doesn’t look dingy!!

Hi, I was in the same boat and went with Simply White/ Starmark. I bought a pint of it from Benjamin Moore and painted a large wood board- it’s a softer white but not yellow. My cabinets arrive this week, so I will let you know how it looks soon with some photos.

What brand floor/color. Love it

It’s luxury vinyl in Portchester. I love them too!!! And the kids and dog don’t scratch it up 😃

What color gray is the wall?

Are they Roseville style cabinets? That’s what we ordered in marshmallow cream

Repose gray was the other cabinet color I was going between. Loved both, but good thinking to paint in that color.

Please share more pictures of Marshmellow Cream cabinets from Starmark! We plan to order ours soon. Thinking white subway tile/grey grout with granite countertops.

It's Cambria Quartz, Ironsbridge ... I thought I wanted granite but this ended up working perfectly with grays, cotton whites, and a very natural looking veining

Your kitchen is beautiful ! I love the colors, counter, lights and layout. I’m trying to decide on pulls for cabinets. I see you have one knob on smaller drawer. I have a corner drawer and although the other pulls will be bars, I wondered if I should put knobs on it. Another question- do 27 inch drawer need larger pulls from other cabs? Or go all same length regardless of size of cabinet?

We have smaller drawers on our island so used knobs rather than pulls for them. We incorporated knobs on the top drawers of the perimeter cabinets to match them. For the larger drawers, our designer recommended 2 pulls instead of one larger one. We did the same with the knobs.

The pulls are Emtek Transitional Heritage: Westwood Pull in Satin Nickel. I ordered them online from a place called the Hardware Hut out of Spokane Washington. The knobs I found at either Menards or Home Depot.

What countertop did u use with marshmellow ?

Because the counters colors are so important (and expensive), select the counters first…..then match the other features (walls, cabinetry, trim) to the colors in the counters.

In the process of finalizing colors - picking between Simply White, Dove, and Marshmallow with a black island. My existing trim is BM Cloud White. Love the softness of Marshmallow but it certainly shows off it’s pink next to cloud white. I did see a pick above which seemed to mix like this. Does it work or will whiter trim make cabinets look drab?

Hi! I would Match the cabinets to your trim- that way it is consistent. We did marshmallow but we color matched our trim so it didn’t look off.

So beautiful - we have huge molding throughout our house so can’t really change molding color! Thanks for feedback. It does look good when it closely matches.
