not black glass. thats what my smooth top is and it takes 3 goes to clean every last grease smear and crumb. stainless only takes 2 goes (if you dont buff it dry it will have water marks, but the smears and crumbs dont show).

Agree with nnigrt. I had black glass and it's a real pain to clean.

Yep, it shows everything and is a pain to clean. If fact, it needs cleaning right now!

Fridge is the new Mitsubishi white glass fridge and the dishwasher will be intergrated...(hidden)

If you go with stainless try to get one that has dials on the front rather than being on a flat surface like what is pictured...the metal knobs get really hot while cooking.

This white cooktop is fairly nice.

I prefer one that is electric and works great, i really don't care if it is purple as long as it does a great job.

i hear you, i don't get the glass, always thought i would want one of those smooth glass tops, and it was horrendous, it kept getting marks on it. But as i said the only thing important to me is it work well, and that can be a problem whether it is gas or electric. If you really cook, i think that is all that should matter, not matchy matchy.
