So beautiful! I particularly the copper details, and the juxtaposition of the rustic flooring with such refined elements as those. I'm overwhelmingly more of a "lurker" here since my kitchen redo is too far along to change elements that have long since been decided, or which might not be everyone else's cup of tea, but which I believe will work well for me and my family. I hugely value the insight and expertise of those on this forum who know far more than I do (hence the amount of research I do here), but I can relate to wanting our final products to be celebrated with us regardless, which I believe everyone will. You've worked hard and it shows and I hope you enjoy your lovely kitchen for many years to come! :)

One other question, please, regarding your copper. Are your pulls lacquered or unlaquered? Do you expect they will patina? And also, I ordered the same Waterstone faucet and was told the polished copper is not available right now. I'm hoping it will be available shortly since I will have to order before long. Have you had any problems with the faucet? It is lacquered, as well, correct? Thanks!! Especially since this was way more than one other question..... ;)

Wow. The last shot in your first post is "the shot." If you ever have to sell, make them use that one. Wonderful vision. Can't recognize it from the prior kitchen. The floors!

Twobells, the copper in both the pulls and faucet are lacquered. Polished copper was available on special order with our Waterstone faucet, but ordering it was definitely a process. Each faucet is custom-made, we were told, and it took 11 weeks, even though we were told it would take 8. We literally received it the day before we needed it for granite fabrication. The company was very accommodating for our questions, but no sense of urgency as far as getting us the product. Pulls are from Sweden. Company we ordered from was super accommodating, sent us samples, and was very reasonable for shipping.

The copper faucet is stunning. I love your entire kitchen - floors, cabinet color, gorgeous countertops and backsplash and definitely the polished copper hardware. Congratulations!

It looks wonderful! Removing the uppers over the peninsula really opened it up. It's so airy, even with the vent hood there. You must be so pleased and excited it's finally finished.

Beautiful. I especially love the sink (though I love everything). I too am a corner-sink girl. I have a corner sink in my kitchen now, and in any future kitchen I will ever have, I will get a corner sink. You can't beat the undersink storage, uninterrupted counterspace, and space behind the sink. My corner sink is an undermount, and I am fascinated that you installed an apron front. Was that a difficult installation because it was a corner, or no different than an apron front would be if it were installed not in a corner?

Your kitchen is beautiful and could have been my inspiration photo before mine was complete. Your's is much nicer, as I didn't get to do new cabinets and appliances, however!

Oh, and don't give your JA appliances another thought. Mine are also JA, but about 10 years old (but my JA fridge is more like 15). In all that time, I've needed just one oven repair :)

Friedajune, in all honesty, the farmhouse sink in the corner was the biggest nightmare of the kitchen. GC initially told me it wouldn't be a problem, but changed his mind when he saw how big it was. The sink was the very first thing we bought for the kitchen and, at the time, we had a very different vision. Flash forward five years with a new cabinet designer.... He didn't want the sink in the corner as it changed the project to semi-custom and something he'd never done before. GC said I should just move it, cabinet designer and granite fabricator said they didn't think they could make it work, material-wise. I refused to budge. Cabinet designer and granite guy then wanted it pushed out flush with the other cabinets, but that would've left a MASSIVE dead space behind the sink. I insisted on the push back and between the granite and cabinet fabrication it cost about $2k more than the original plans. BUT, with the faucet. the sink corner is now my "kitchen queen" and I absolutely adore it! My old sink was also in the corner, but it was literally a corner sink, (think 90 degree angle, double sink with one basin on one side of the corner, the other basin on the other side of the corner) that was designed for a manufactured home (our house is not) and super shallow and awkward. Now, with the set-back, I'm in a little comfy cubby when I'm working at the sink and my windows overlook my rose garden. LOVE IT!

Beautiful kitchen, hard to believe it's the same space!! I'm doing a corner apron sink also and you've got me a little nervous with the nightmare you had! We have a 36" Kohler cast iron sink and I also planned on pushing it back to avoid the huge space in the corner. Like your kitchen, we'll have cabs between the sink and DW to got be trapped by the DW door when it's open. My question is with the sink/cabs pushed back is it awkward to have two people standing at the sink together??

Haha, as I was typing that I was trying to think of a time my husband and I have ever done dishes together! There will be awkward parts regardless if it's pushed back or not but I'm absolutely not having the sink anywhere else. I posted my kitchen layout for advice yesterday and I was expecting backlash about how terrible corner sinks are, none yet :).

Beautiful! I really like the copper accents and how they relate to the wood floor. Seems like not an easy feat to pull off a greyish cabinet with copper accents. But you did it. It totally works. Enjoy!
