Update the living room window treatment

I have this silk swag hanging on the living room window. It is from 15 years ago - dated. I don't want to cover the view & don't want a "tailored" look. Any suggestions on how to update the same fabric?

    Try undoing it and sending it out to be cleaned and pressed; after fifteen years, it may take some professional steaming to get the knot wrinkle out. You can have simple panels for each side made with lining to hang better. If you want to avoid a tailored look, you can shirr the panels with shirring tape.
