It's pretty. I'm definitely not crazy about the mirror, though. I'm wondering if you removed everything from the mantel and bought just the right art, if that might really change the situation. I think the art would need to include the cool colors in the room as well as the tan around the fireplace. The art would be best if it was the width of the black firebox and not quite as tall as the black firebox. Websites like greatbigcanvas.com have many choices and size options.

I like it also and think all the stuff on the mantle is throwing it off. It looks like silver is in the paper - Maybe a silver framed mirror. It goes with the silver coffee table.

Do you have any silver accents around the house you could use in the room?

The colors within the two pillows on the chair on the left would be perfect colors for your art, pulling the grays and tans together.

Love the wallpaper. Your FP mantel is quite high, so I would do more lower and wider than tall.

I like art better than a mirror over the fireplace. The current mirror is reflecting the ceiling fan :( I like the wallpaper and think it adds pizzazz.

Just thought this option of changing the color of the surround should at least be explored. Seems as though the wallpaper is a bit feminine when compared to the scale and size of the chairs. Thought the grey surround might bridge the difference.

It's also super nice what the charcoal color does for the tan color of the fireplace.
