Here are a few color ideas, I agree with tt67 that you should consider how the new Kitchen coloring will relate to the rest of the space or furniture in your house.

A warm, spicy orange might be nice - and orange is very current.

A wonderful light bluish green - Mountain Mist, Benjamin Moore, for a modern, sleek look.

While color is important, the space is totally lacking pattern. I would add a small patterned rug under the table & chairs..I would choose something like an indoor/outdoor type that you can hose off outside, but in a great pattern ( I would choose a busy print)..something you like...be brave... http://www.homedecorators.com/P/Montage_Area_Rug/410/ Possibly a Roman shade for the window in a stripe (color chosen from the rug)..A larger more colorful piece of art over the table. NOW choose a paint color and it will be easy using these items as your key. Don't forget to paint the largest wall in the room..the ceiling. If you choose a light to mid tone color, paint the ceiling the same. If you choose a darker tone, paint the ceiling a lighter shade. Always buy a sample and paint poster boards to tape around the room to see if you like it.

Do we know what the floor is yet? Wasn't new tile mentioned?

Regarding the floor..I would still keep it neutral, except larger tiles 15/16" and lay it on the diagonal...something like a travertine. I believe if something is to last more than 10 years..keep it neutral..as your tastes will change and also for resale.

I agree...so fresh looking, lots of options! Add color with a nice rug, definitely need a roman blind with pattern, and change the light fixture...go bigger.

The tile will be a similar colour to the cabinets but a bit more pinkish. The adjoining dinning room and hallway will be like Benjamin Moore cc110 but has not been painted yet.

I strongly advise you to reconsider introducing anything pinkish. It will look completely wrong with the yellow base you have.

Especially something permanent like retiling the floor! See if you can get some carpet off cuts in the pinky beige you are considering, as well as a number of other samples in contrasting colours to see which works best in your space before you commit.

For the paint or accessories, go with colours on the opposite side of the colour wheel: soft blues would be perfect here.

I do like greens. But will that go with a light sandy colour in the dinning area. Also the kitchen is the first room you see when you enter from the front door.

i would do yelow colour of walls, it suits for this space ,somthing like this decorative colour,. and also you can clean wals with magic cloth or sponge
