Carrara subway tile looks like the tile Susan suggested. I think that be a great fit as for your kitchen.

You have such a pretty kitchen. Sometimes with backsplashes it can just depend on how much do you want it to be the centerpiece of your kitchen. How much or how little you want it to be a prominent feature. Also how much stuff you like to have on your counter for decor. Cause at some point it can get busy. Which is fine if you like that.

That is very helpful idecor54 - I am kind of minimalist in terms of what's on my counters; I do not like clutter. I had not considered that aspect....so I appreciate you pointing it out! Perhaps I need something with a little interest to avoid being dull.

Thank you SewingLadyDi! The countertops are actually Azul Platino Granite with a double pencil edge; I will say they are lighter (more grey and less black/charcoal) in person than they are in photos.

I would do white with a little bit of grey backsplash.
