Break in!

Our new build is about 8 weeks from completion and we had a break in last night. They broke a window went in and stole the copper bathtub valves (fortunately that was the only plumbing in the building at the moment). I'm so upset -- what is to prevent this from happened again?

Motion detectors with a loud alarm.Nothing can stop someone from breaking a window but no one is going to hang around with an alarm going off that all the neighbors can here.
