Absolutely beautiful. I love that you didn't just rip out a kitchen you didn't like but actually put some thought into how you could make it your own. That's no cookie cutter kitchen. Congrats.

Looks great, what kind of paint did you use?

Benjamin Moore latex paint for walls and cabinets. It's super easy to keep clean which I love. We first used tsp to clean the cabinets, then a separate deglosser, and primer. We used a professional grade sprayer to get a smooth finish on the cabinet doors and drawers. For the cabinet boxes we used a smaller hand held sprayer.

Darn. You've got me rethinking a white kitchen again. Your choices were impeccable. Especially like the pendants.

Barbara- check above a few comments back and I shared our process. It worked great for us. We finished his project back in August and the cabinets look to be holding up great. One thing to keep in mind- let everything cure before trying to rehang or put hardware on if possible. We waited a week after the final coat before we touched them again.

Thanks! The difference in granite color is more evident because the first pic is with an iPhone. The second photo was with my professional camera so there's a big difference in light and quality (I'm a professional real estate photographer). But we also did a color enhancer seal on the granite which brought out the tones quite a bit:). Adding the lighting was also a vast improvement. The kitchen ceiling and dining room walls were all sponge painted orange as well. Lol. Thank goodness I was able to see past the ugly when we first saw this house. Both bathrooms are being remodeled as we speak- you can imagine how they looked. Lol

The lighting is my favorite. Not sure you can tell in the photos but there is strands of crystals in the center of the pendants. We also bought the matching chandelier for the dining room. They are from Maxim lighting- arabesque collection.

Ken- same granite in the before and after:). We just did a color enhancer on them and the good lighting and camera brings out the colors much better than the old lighting and iPhone did.
