My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

Need advice on front door..any experience with Simpson Nantucket

Am building a new house in the suburbs of NYC. Builder uses Simpson doors in sapele mahog. I like the Nantucket collection. Anyone have any input on these?

    Simpson makes a very nice door. Just make certain the shop who hangs the door in the frame knows what they are doing. Pick a SOLID frame (not finger joint), make sure the frame is sealed all sides well, it sits in a proper sill pan or properly flashed opening. And the most important fact that never seems to be accomplished finish ALL 6 SIDES OF THE DOOR!!! And do not order it from a box store......
