Is this a better upholstered option for the ends?

I think the gold chairs would look really cool with that table. I personally would go with a solid for the upholstered chairs so it doesn't get too busy since you're already combining different styles.

I like the gold chairs. Just not with those upholstered ones.

I like the upholstered ones because they will be much more comfortable and also the scale seems better with such a chunky table. You could use a pattern on the end chairs and solid on the others. The gold chair is beautiful, but I would use it in another room as an accent chair. No bench.

I like all 3 chairs but not together.

I could see the gold chairs with a chair a bit closer in style. Also a bench would not work with the gold ones.
