Washer and dryer in master bath?

It has always been my dream to have a washer and dryer (2nd set) on the bedroom level. I am remodeling my master bath and now is my chance.

I have 95" to work with and I would do a compact washer and dryer stacked. I was also including a 21" cabinet next to the vanity and then a panel hiding the washer and dryer. the way I measure it this leaves about 38" for the vanity. Is that an ok size for a vanity or will I regret taking away that space in the end?

Not sure I see the value in a second washer/dryer, and personally I would not want it in my bathroom for several reasons: Noise, the space it takes up, and the fact that it is not accessible for others that might want to use it (the kids, guests) without going through my private space. I understand the appeal of a second floor washer dryer, just not as a secondary laundry nor in a private and limited space.

That said, it's not my home, so do what works for you! Make sure the dryer has appropriate venting available. People that I know who have moved washer/dryer to 2nd floor and placed it where venting outside is difficult and takes much length and many turns find that it significantly affects drying time. Place it on outside wall if possible so you can vent directly.

That's kind of a minimal vanity for a remodeled master -- most people are looking to get double vanities and/or large showers in their masters.

On the other hand, it's your house, so if you really want the washer and dryer, who are we to say otherwise?!

Another option would be to skip the extra cabinet and instead get a larger vanity that packs lots of storage into drawers and shelves underneath (and recessed medicine cabinets if need be).

(this one is 52" and went for storage over a second sink)

If you need a linen closet, there might be another option of where to put it, but you'd need to share more of your layout...

Another possibility, if you have major laundry elsewhere and this is mostly supplementary, would be to get a combination washer-dryer. Then you could use the space above for another large cabinet instead of another appliance.

Is this your forever home? If so, do what you want. My husband and I would argue over 38" inches and 1 sink. It could impact resale value.

Ultimately you should do whatever will make the space work for your needs, provided you do not plan to sell your home in the near future.

Most people are seeking double sinks in a master bath and a single sink would definitely be a deal breaker to many. If you have no plans to sell, you'll have to decide which is more important to you. For me, I see no value in having a second washer & dryer even if it's more convenient locationwise and I certainly wouldn't want it in a bathroom so I'd stick with double sinks in my own house.

Actually this would be my vanity. My husband would have his own separate vanity, which would of course be larger because of my washer and dryer. His vanity would be 45".
