Incredible Edibles?

Does the Incredible Edibles swap group still exist? Its been a while since I've participated in seeds swaps, but was looking to get involved again.

Hey Becky, nice to see you posting again!

Tormato had issues getting logged onto Houzz so a version of the Incredible Edibles have been hosted over on T'ville. Those hosted by Tormato are the most recent ones I've seen over the past year.

Thanks for letting me know. T'Ville = Tomatoville? Never been on those gardening forums. I'll check them out.

    Yes, Tomatoville.

So sad to hear that the Incredible Edibles have disbanded. It's been several years since I've been on Gardenweb, but I rememberthe creation of IE fondly, and enjoyed running some of the monthly swaps, and doing the Tomato swap for a couple of years back in those early days,

I'm sure if several of us wanted to start it up again, it would be fine. I used to participate when the group was active.

I'll watch for this. With any luck, I will have a good selection of tomatoes

I'll have to post about the "rules" of the (tomato) swap, at some time. The first rule is that there are no rules. It's the participant's swap, as I'm just the host. Participants can participate in any manner they like. Someone awhile back asked me to sum up the swap in as short of an answer as possible. I came up with...

You send bubble mailer, return postage, legible return address.

I send back overstuffed bubble mailer, wreck your garden plans. :)

(you may ask any past participants about what happened to their garden plans)

Good to see you back tormato!!! I remember your stuffed bubble envelopes well lol. Will keep an eye out for your swaps this Fall.

As I don't want to step on anyone's toes, I'd like to hear if anyone else at Houzz has been hosting tomato, pepper, and bean/pea/other legume swaps.

I haven't heard about any other swaps, so I'll be hosting tomato, pepper, and bean swaps later in the year.

Will be keeping an eye out. My beans completely failed this yeast...but hopefully I have enough stock from the passed couple of years so I can join the swap.

Wasn’t able to participate last season as soil issues had me gardening in pots and using store bought plants., and a complete loss of my over 200 different variety tomato seed collection. I would like to get back in to collecting and growing again. Hoping to hear that there will be a tomato swap here or somewher, this season.

Sunny, you might try the tomatoe forum

I would certainly love to participate in either the tomato or edible swap! Sunnyk, I have a similar experience. Let me know if you would like a private trade.

Thanks for the offer,shp123, I dont really have much to swap right now, but I plan on saving as many varieties of seeds as I can later this season. Maybe we can swap then.

    Of course.

The "Totally Tomatoes" part of the Incredible Edibles swap is back, with me as host. It goes by a different name now, "Mostly Mystery 'Mater Mailing". It will be run here, and at two other sites. It will be mostly tomatoes, some peppers and beans, along with any other veggie/fruit/flower seed that shows up.
