I like white windows but bronze is very popular now. I suggest removing at least the lower floor shutters. Also remove the shrub that is blocking the view of the entrance.

Eliminate all the shutters as they don't add anything nor do they authentically work with the window style. the brick gives the house character. Paint the board and batman, window casings and posts a darker color (darkest shade of brick) such as a charcoal/gray green. Maybe not quite as dark as murrifran recommends but a darker color is definitely on the right track. the front door can be a contest color that focuses on the entry. Maintaining plantings in window boxes is a commitment.If you can't maintain them year round then eliminate them.

Do you happen to have any specific color recommendations to try? The neighbors house that is very similar to mine (same roof, similar brick) is a really dark brown with white windows/trim. We have a very animist looking house! We did black and grey with an orange door and looks really nice. I am very pleased with it. I would also remove the shutters and paint the window casings a different color than your base color. Perhaps black window casings.
