You might want to recheck the name or the spelling. Here is a nationwide brand that is quite good. Maybe this is the one he's using.

So, your "cabinet maker" is buying parts and assembling them on site for you? Is he at least buying them finished?

That is not a cabinet manufacturer, that is a parts manufacturer. So you have no idea how your cabinet boxes are being manufactured, if you have full or partial extension glides, or any info about the final finish of your interiors and exteriors.

What's the warranty? Even IKEA provides a warranty.

A parts assembler who masquerades as a custom cabinet maker should be avoided. Anyone who site finishes should be avoided.

I looked at their site and was really impressed with the selection. I have heard of Decora but not Decore. I loved the walnut cabinets but those are probably very expensive. They look very nice.

So i better understand i should purchase assembled cabinets not parts from a manufacture that will send them ready for installation in my kitchen?

So what is the difference between this company and Hanseem cabinets.

The reason i am mentioning Hanseem is because a different kitchen cabinet vendor recommended we purchase our White shaker frameless dove tail joint cabinets from them. It sounds like with the Decore brand my contractor will be putting together the cabinets himself- joints, closures etc- which may impact the overall quality of the cabinets.

Wonderboy, these are all good questions that should be directed to your contractor, not this forum.

Let me put it this way..............you can purchase Mopar genuine auto parts but that doesn't mean if you purchase all the available parts you'll end up with a Chrysler automobile when you're finished.

I agree with you but contractors have a tendency of being bias especially when there is money to be made. This forum gives beginners like myself the opportunity to tap into a large database of contacts/professionals who will give me unbiased honest information about how best to go about this tedious process.

The price includes Belmont Cabinetry-white shaker frameless with dovetail joints, an under-mount sink, cabinetry handles and installation by the Kitchen company.

Seems like a good price. Low, actually, for decent quality. 1600 series, not 1900 series, right? I'd want better detailing on the crown. A two piece crown better accounts for out if level ceilings. That fridge will never open fully unless you put a broom closet or pull out pantry between it and the wall. You will need hinge restrictor a for the other cabinets opening against the walls. Add another $1500 for those changes and call it good.

The price is OK for what it is. The design less so. It needs work, and that would bring the price up the couple of thousand I would expect a fully detailed and competent design to be. $1500 is low for a good cabinet installer as well. I would be worried that the person would be less than competent at that rate.

The design needs more drawer bases. It needs room between the refrigerator and the wall. It needs some type of tray organizer or roll out above the fridge. It would be better if the earring bar was the same level as the counter. You would have more contiguous work space then.

Bellmont is OK as a brand. What dooms it is the ability of the box store designers to be able to design in frameless cabinets. They are usually pretty limited in their knowledge on the required end cover panels and fillers. Which looks to be the case in that design.

The price is likely low because of the missing accessory parts etc.
