I don't have first hand information on Arhaus sofas but I googled Arhaus sofas and saw some bad reviews.

However, maybe another Houzzer who has owned an Arhaus can offer their opinion.

$5,500 is a lot of money and you want to be sure you're purchasing a quality item.

I went on their website and see they have a sale going on, it's $3249 now.

I read mixed reviews on Arhaus couches but mostly good. We skipped RH after we learned thy shipped manufacturing overseas and the quality dipped (still used their cabinetry hardware and chandeliers though!).

The sofa is $3300 before you add her leather choice, a single untufted bottom cushion, little round rivet thingies, etc. Once the sale ends it will be closer to $8k I believe with all the things she wants. Sale ends Tues.

I will look at Ethan Allen. They were next door but we spent so much time in Arhaus the kids wouldn't have made it 2 more hours furniture shopping.

We are exhausted from redoing this house inside and out! The house is Victorian 18th Century and would lend itself to found furniture but we've been in a rental so long we just want it to be furnished ASAP which is why we are looking to buy living room, master bedroom, etc furniture all at once. The plan is to fill in with some found antiques down the road.

If you want leather and good quality, that says Hancock and Moore. Yes, it's a step up. Yes, it's worth it.

@srobertb--- No, it couldn't be Victorian 18th Century. Queen Victoria wasn't born until the 19th, and she died in 1901, I believe. Sorry. I know it's a minor point, but I just couldn't help myself. Good luck!

Instead of furniture shopping in a retail store where lower quality stuff is sold at highly inflated prices( that's why they put it on " sale" and still make a killing), hire a designer to source you quality furniture at a fraction of the price.

Too much $ for too little quality, IMO.

i don't think there is a reason to question the price related to the quality. i doubt they are using bonded leather for this style, since it's a terrible idea to use bonded leather with this type of tufting.

i would also take yelp reviews with a grain of salt. yelp is a terrible company ! they delete good reviews "randomly" (yea right !) and keep the bad reviews, which are many times made up of half truths.

make sure you read the contract thoroughly, and make sure all the details you wanted are on your order, to protect yourself from future problems. also, if they have a houzz profile, you can let the pictures speak for themselves.

anyway, in comparison, for example our kenzie or cipriano style single sofa (approx. 93" long x 38" deep) in our grade c distressed full grain leather is normally $5,687 and with the discount we offer right now it's $3,696 + $99 for shipping (nationwide). We use hardwood frames, and only highest quality leather...
