Help...I need ideas.

I want a solid patio cover but my eaves are low so tying into them would make the patio cover 7 1/2 - 8 feet high. Which is very low. I was thinking of a gable roof patio cover. I'm taking out door & window and putting in 10 foot french doors. Two large steps out of french doors to concrete patio. Patio will be 51 feet long by 14 feet wide.
