Looking for a dramatic entryway: wallpaper advice

My entryway really needs something to make it pop. I have been considering a dramatic wallpaper that foreshadows colors that you will find in the rest of the house. I have also considered a simple but bold black and white geometric. I'm open to any suggestions, but I am considering this Thibaut print. It has the blue from the adjacent living room and kitchen tile, the purple from the sofa in the livingrom, and it certainly makes a statement. I like it in the red, although it is a bit of a dull red, but I am including a picture of it with a white background so you can see how large the print is. I actually hate that picture because there's just way too much of the print going on there, but as you can see my entryway is small and the mudroom portion has wainscoting so there would be a relatively small amount of the print. Thoughts? Better ideas?

I could not be happier with the final product! The rug is so-so, but I kissed many frogs before settling for this one. Found the perfect console, already had the mirror. Best of all, the wallpaper is absolutely fabulous! Thanks for all of the advice!!

The pattern seems too busy to me . I'd look for a more subtle print. I know you didn't ask, but I'm not a fan of the mirror and console in the space either. It looks awkward from the side as the console protrudes over the entry frame. I'd do just a mirror or art in the foyer. No furniture.

IMHO, this paper would be overwhelming in that small area. Print seems too large and bold for a small place. You would rarely get the full pattern because there are no large walls. Plus, it would take the emphasis off of your beautiful entry piece. If you want color, I suggest paint in this small area.

I don't love the console (cheap), mirror OR rug, still searching for the right everything. Harder than you would think!! I have tried and rejected dozens of rugs. I kind of think that the smallness of the wall area is the only thing that makes a big print attractive to me. You just get a hint of it, you aren't bombarded by it as in the dreadful living room they put it in. Still, I won't say I don't have concerns about the size of the design! I have never used wallpaper, this is new territory for me.

I have a similar, but even smaller little entry and I completely agree with doing a fun, bold wall covering to make a statement out of that little space! It'll create an unexpected and special moment out of an otherwise simply transitional, forgettable space. I've started speaking with a few interior designers, and they've whole-heartedly agreed. Small places are where wall coverings make such a huge difference (think powder rooms, which are enjoying a surge of bold wall covering) and you can go bold because it is a smaller area. Go for it to make your entry a sophisticated yet playful spot!

The red is way too much. The same pattern but with the white background (from your previous post) will look so much better with your brick floor.

Love the paper but I'm not sure about the interaction with the brick. I would also eliminate the chest. I have this thibault in my foyer so I am a fan of wallpaper in a small space.
