Thanks, but what does knockdown mean? I read once that the sunlight coming through the window [indoor light too? idk] will most efficiently bounce off the ceiling, so it's best to have a shinier, glossier ceiling [if you want the most light]...... as opposed to the floor or the walls.

Oops! I meant orange peel texture. I wrote a tutorial for that too, just follow this link How to Create an Imperfect Smooth Texture and Prepare Your Orange-Peel Textured Walls for a Faux Finish. The metallic paint is glossy, so it picks up the light. Remember, there are two coats of it, so it's pretty shiny. I've done the copper metallic on walls, too. The lighting in the room will affect the reflection of this finish. It DOES NOT look good on an orange peel texture, so that's why the imperfect smooth texture is recommended.

My last thought is that I imagine that a dressed-up gloss ceiling would be better long-term, than walls..... a ceiling has a surprise factor too... ?
