Not quite what you asked, but... Since it's a new build, you have the chance to do the laundry room right, at much less cost than fixing later. 1) The floor should be very rigid, with no "bounce" at all. 2) A floor drain, with the floor sloping toward it, will make any future leak a much less traumatic event.

I just purchased an LG WM3370 that I think is very quiet and doesn't vibrate. I am pretty happy with it.

As we have a second floor laundry, 125 year old house, I was worried. In talking to salesman, they said most manufacturers had improved vibration control, including Whirlpool and LG. Electrolux has a second floor guarantee. I just bought those, but they aren't in yet.

You could probably delay start the wash cycle but I think the spinstart will have to begin on or after the alarm clock going off...the models have come a long way as far as vibration issues, but the reinforced floor, washer near a corner and drain in the floor are all excellent ideas. Perhaps you'll have a laundry room with enough space for sorting bins, an ironing board and a drying rack too?
