Two bingo words today: SPINACH , PEPPERS

I received Kim's box today. She sent a great garden themed box and included a really cute Beet it card and magnet! She sent mixes for spinach dip and buttermilk cupcakes. She sent an assortment of teas and seeds (Big rainbow tomato, Thai basil, cilantro, and white bush scallop squash). There was also a cute green pot and a container for plants, garden shears, a pen, gardenia soap, a begonia plant, a coleus plant, and a dinner plate dahlia Otto's Thrill. I have been wanting a dinnerplate dahlia! She also sent the cutest measuring spoons (I took a close up of it because it was so cute).

Thank you so much, Kim! It was clear that you put a lot of thought into this.

Faye, I received my swap package from you today. It's wonderful and thank you so much. I've been hibernating (opposite the way of the bears) because of the heat --- so it's great to get a surprise in the mail.

Faye sent something I'd never heard of before, but it is perfect - a Bacon Bowl. You wrap strips of bacon in a bowl shape, cook it, and then you can add things to the bowl - make it as a BLT salad, add eggs, top it with a hamburger, etc. I am trying to cut back on carbs in my diet, so this will be great fun for me. However, that in no way means I don't appreciate the next item: a box of country white artisan bread mix. Nothing beats homemade bread and I don't make it very often - so YUM!

Moving on through the package:

A windchime that reads, "Gardeners Know the Best Dirt" (love that saying)

A silcone spatula (can always use them)

A rain gauge (I'm hoping this works like a rain dance and will bring us some rain!!)

and a lovely note card with a scene from Venice, Italy (oh my - it tickled my travel bug) and some seeds - special ones that her mother grew for years (I'll definitely try to keep the seeds going from year to year), chicory which I've never tried to grow but I certainly will try, Nicotianta (that does well here) and seeds from a place I had not heard of The Rincon Plant Preservation & Introduction Garden (sounds intriguing) - Wild Strawberry, Ginseng Parsley, Egg Gourd, and Spider Beans. She had the seeds tucked in a little paper pouch that she made with a spider sticker on one side and a strawberry with "Pick of the Crop" on the other side. It's so cute.

Thank you so much Susan skyblue52 I received your thoughtfully themed Caramel package with some caramel recipes, a Caramel Heuchera from my wish list and some caramel chews. 2 other wonderful plants a shade loving pink anemone, and a golden stone paint brush, a variety of seed packets, a meat thermometer, a dicer gadget, and a recipe book.
