Hello. The tree comes in a wicker basket and is weighted down with concrete. Spanish moss is put over the concrete. Due to the height of the tree, the basket was cut out when we took the picture. If you wish to put this tree in the ground, you can just place the tree in the ground (with the basket) and then cover it. If you have any other questions, please let us know.

Can I put these trees outside in Texas sun and it won't fade over the years? I'm interested because I don't like the idea of having to water real palm trees constantly since they're really not suited to Texas weather. Hello Juliette. I apologize for the late response. I was able to find out all of the information to answer your questions. Yes, you can put these trees in the Texas sun. We can provide an outdoor treatment to every tree that will protect the tree from the sun and rain. After two years, we recommend using something like Thompson's Water Seal once a year on the trees for continued protection. The trunk of the tree should be fine, but you can spray it on the frons and coconuts. A 12 foot tree will need to go in a hole at least two feet deep, so the trees will be 10 feet tall from the ground up. The trees would come cemented in small planter's pots. You can just bury the pots in the ground and the trees will be stable. As for the pricing, we can offer you the trees at $430 each (this includes the outdoor treatment, which is a $40 option). I need to know the height of trunk of the 10' tree, from ground level to the bottom of the first coconut.

Hello Lidia. The height of the trunk of the 10 foot tree is 8 feet in height. You can hang the coconut at various heights but 8 feet would be the lowest you can begin.
