Have an exterior kitchen door that swings in, as most exterior doors do. The door needs to be replaced and we would like to change the swing to the outside. First problem is finding a steel door, 30x80, with a half light with interior mini blinds as the door faces west and we want to see outside but also be able to block the sun, (installing blinds on the exterior of the door only lasts a shortwhile). We can't find just a slab but we are willing to purchase a prehung door and just remove the slab. We would fill in all the voids from the hinge mortises and locks, cut new hinge mortises on the opposite side of the door jamb and install door handle and deadbolt as well. I will also purchase exterior security hinges. Is there something that I am missing?
