Not sure I understand your question. Are you talking about a cabinet with pull out drawers or an actual walk in closet?

my space had been a closet with double doors. Inside a carpenter put 2 outside walls designed for shelving . Another shelving wall was placed down the middle of the space so there is an area 26 inches wide on each side and extending the depth of the closet which is 20 inches . Shelves were built into the space on each side (four on each side) with additional space below the bottom shelf for soft drinks and water storage. etc. The closet is 8 feet hign so the top shelf provides storage on each side for large kitchen appliance seldom used. My problem is that each space is so large that the food items become buried and it is difficult to find things. I thought pull out shelves would help organize and locate things easier. I have located bottom mount drawers by Barker that are dove tailed and made of birch plywood. they come in many sizes so there is quite a bit of flexibiliiy. They look high quality and easy to install.

I think the pullout shelves will be wonderful. You need to find full extension glides. If you're planning on putting anything heavy on them make sure that the glide is rated for the weight.

You can put pull out shelving on all of the lower shelves up to about chest height after that high you really have to get on a stool to see what's going on. Alternatively what I've seen some people do is to begin to shorten the shelves so that at chest height the shelf is full depth then the next shelf is half depth and the shelf above that is the quarter depth. With shallower shelves it is harder for things to get lost.

I have a pantry that is two 24" cabinets butted together. They are about 6' tall and 24" deep. For the first few years, I just had shelves in them and had the same problem you're describing--it was very difficult to access items towards the back of the shelves and to keep track of what was stored where. About 3 years ago, I had pull-out shelves installed and it has made a world of difference. I'd say definitely go for it.
