Need ideas for colonial exterior updates porch/shingles/garagedoor etc

I am looking for some ideas in updating exterior of 1960's 2 story colonial. Right now the house does not have the wow factor and is in the process of renovations throughout the house. First, I need to fix the porch i have already boxed in the columns/pillars. Need ideas on what i should add to make it pop. Second, what would be a good idea for the shingles and doors, i want to keep them just a good color choice besides the green and some accent pieces. Should i keep the glass door that is in front of the entrance door or leave it? Third, I want to change the color of the garage, but i would like it to be neutral in color and give it a better look. Any ideas to add accents to it, like fake windows, handles, etc. Landscaping will be done to really make it pop in the end. Thanks for the ideas!

I suggest for the siding and garage door color to paint them with sage green, yellow, a medium gray or blue, or black (not the garage in black but the trim color) will all work with the color of your brick and roof! You could go white or an off white for the trim.

For the garage, you can do what we are going to do with ours since we have the same boring style of garage door--buy accent pieces from the Home Depot to make the doors into carriage doors! It's much cheaper than buying an actual carriage door. Here is what I'm talking about:

Those were the accent pieces I was thinking about adding on the garage. What is your opinion on putting the Windows on the garage, just like a tinted plexiglass with trim around it to make it look like it has Windows at the top

Hi! My home is very similar to yours, except my garage faces the side. I would love to know what you decided to do! My house originally had cedar shake on the upper part of the house, but it was replaced with vinyl siding in the 80s. I dream of bring the cedar shake somewhere. Would love to make it look like a New England farm house... but I am still trying to get ideas. Please share photos! Thanks!
