I rerouted the switch in the wall to control a ceiling fan I just installed. That switch controlled the outlets on the wall before. Now they are live (which I like). There is one outlet that when I plug something into the top plug, everything down the daisy chain..other outlets, closet light, and ceiling fan stop. Breaker does NOT trip. I unplug the device and presto, all works again. I'm assuming that wacky outlet had to do something with the switch on the wall. It's like when I plug something in, it's creating a switch breaking the hot down the daisy changed devices. Is there a tab in receptical I need to remove or do I have a bad outlet?
