I'm nearing the end of my fireplace project! A barnwood mantle will go under the tv. My original thought was to get matching barn wood shelves. Someone said it would distract from the main mantel under the tv. Should I do a different wall shelf instead? I want to ensure its scaled properly. Would something 3 dimensional look better? Maybe two identical mirrors on either side? Please also tell me how you would decorate with your suggestion. I'm going for a mix of farmhouse and industrial.
