What wood did you use for the island?

So glad you like it! The island wood was actually several old glue-lam beams that had weathered in the corner of a lumber yard for years. We glued and bolted them together and sealed it with tongue oil. If you can find a bunch of old weathered pine 2x4's, you can glue them and bolt them for a similar look.
